United States

Allergy Alert: Wang GlobalNet recalls Fish Cake, Fish Ball, and Fish Tofu (see recall notice for item and lot identification codes) due to undeclared eggs and wheat.

Allergy Alert: Italian Gluten Free Food Cl recalls Chef Luca’s LASAGNA AL FORNO BAKED CHEESE LASAGNA (15 oz/425g portion; Lot Nos. 0387, 0527, 0547 and 1147; Expiration dates (respectively) 02/07/2018, 02/21/2018, 02/23/2018 and 04/24/2018) due to undeclared egg.

Allergy Alert: The Arabella Station Whole Foods Market store (New Orleans, LA) recalls packaged oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (pkg of 18; best-by date of May 19, 2017) due to undeclared walnuts.

Food Safety Recall: John Morrell and Co. recalls Nathan’s SKINLESS 8 BEEF FRANKS (14-oz pkg; Use By Aug. 19, 2017; Est. 296) and Curtis BEEF MASTER Beef Franks (16-oz pkg; Use By June 15, 2017; Est. 296) due to possible foreign matter (metal objects) contamination.

Food Safety Recall: BrightFarms recalls various packaged salad products (see recall notice for details) due to potential presence of metal as a result of construction at its Elkwood, Virginia (Culpeper County) greenhouse farm. The recalled products were supplied to Giant Landover, Giant Carlisle, Peapod and Martin’s Food Markets in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, West Virginia and Washington, D.C. and may also have been distributed via the Capital Area Food Bank.

Food Safety Recall: The Osso Good Co. (San Rafael, CA) recalls THE OSSO GOOD CO, BEEF BONE BROTH, GRASS FED, PASTURE RAISED, NON GMO, HORMONE FREE, THE OSSO GOOD CO, SPICY PORK BONE BROTH Pastured pork bone broth with a touch of heat, and THE OSSO GOOD CO, SIMPLY BEEF BROTH, AIP COMPLIANT BONE BROTH, GRASS FED, PASTURE RAISED, NON GMO, HORMONE FREE (20 fluid oz.), because the products were manufactured without benefit of inspection. The recalled items were shipped to retail stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, New York and Washington.

Food Safety Recall: Global Garlic Inc. recalls De Mi Pais brand Queso Fresco Whole Milk Cheese (16-oz plastic bag; Exp. September 19, 2017) due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled product was sold in retail stores in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami (Florida) and Fairdale, KY.

Food Safety Recall: Henning’s Cheese recalls Colby Jack cheese (Date code 1005; sold on or after April 10, 2017 in one and two pound blocks) due to a temporary pasteurizer malfunction.

Food Safety Recall: La Nica Products, Inc. recalls Quesos de la Costa Arrocero Queso Duro Blando Hard White Morolique (Lot #254; Expiry date August 31, 2017; UPC 8 52304 74023 2) due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

Public Health Alert: USDA/FSIS issues Public Health Alert for approximately 424 pounds of raw veal products imported from the Netherlands that may be contaminated with E. coli O103. Please refer to the official notice for details.

Canada

Outbreak Alert (British Columbia): The BC Centre for Disease Control reports an outbreak of six cases of E. coli O121 illnesses in the province. The outbreak strain was recovered from a sample of Rogers All-Purpose Flour (10kg bag; lot number MFD 17 Jan 19 C) retrieved from one of the six outbreak victims. The flour was sold at Costco stores in British Columbia beginning in January 2017. This is a different strain of E. coli O121 from the one that has now sickened 29 individuals in six provinces and one visitor to Canada since November 2016.

Allergy Alert: AJ International Trading (2372761 Ontario Inc.) recalls Dried Lily Flower (110g; Exp. 20/11/2018; UPC 6 959899 320239) due to undeclared sulfites.

Allergy Alert: 3296123 Nova Scotia Ltd. recalls various Rick’s Subs brand sandwich products (see recall notice for details) due to undeclared mustard and soy.

Allergy Alert: Uncle T’s Foods Inc. recalls various imported corn snacks (see recall notice for details) due to undeclared peanut, wheat, gluten, egg and soy.

Allergy Alert: Pâtisserie Dolci Piu Fontainebleau (Blainville, QC) recalls Meat Lasagna and Vegetarian Lasagna due to undeclared wheat, eggs and milk.

Food Safety Recall: Simmer International inc. recalls Smoked trout (see recall notice for details) because the product may be unsafe for consumption.

Europe

Allergy Alert (Czech Republic): Iceland Czech a.s. recalls Birds Eye – “Made with 100% fish fillet (224g pkg; Best by 07 / 2018; Batch code 61-02 A L7010CL066) due to misleading labeling and undeclared allergens (mustard and milk protein).

Allergy Alert (Denmark): Dansk Supermarked A/S recalls Budget Mysli Morgenknas (400g; Best by 9/10-2017) due to a packaging error and undeclared soy lecithin.

Allergy Alert (Denmark): AcuPharma Aps recalls PureBiotic Premium & PureBiotic Kvinde (PureBiotic Female) Lactic Acid Bacteria (UPC 6312579250040 and 6312579250033; all package sizes and lot codes) due to undeclared milk.

Allergy Alert (Northern Ireland): Musgrave Retail Partners NI recalls Gourmet Cheese & Bacon Burgers (620g/4-pack; All ‘use by’ dates) due to undeclared soy.

Allergy Alert (Sweden): Carolines kök/Carolines Kitchen recalls Kycklingspett Teriyaki/Chicken Pepper Teriyaki (Lots 19-05-2017, 20-05-2017, 23-05-2017, 24-05-2017, 25-05-2017, 26-05-2017, 27-05-2017 and 30-05-2017) due to undeclared celery and mustard.

Food Safety Recall (Denmark): Unifood Import A/S recalls Melisa brand Capers in glass jars (105 mL; Expiry 09/03-2018; Lot No. 1415Unifoo7) due to possible contamination with small nails.

Food Safety Recall (Denmark): Kohberg Bakery Group A/S recalls Burger buns (see recall notice for product details) due to possible contamination with small pieces of blue rubber.

Food Safety Recall (Germany): Landschlachthof Mühlberg GmbH & Co. KG recalls Teewurst sausages (Sold from 26.04.2017 to 10.05.2017) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall (Germany): Kaufland Warenhandel Südwest GmbH & Co. KG recalls K-Classic Premium Gherkins with fine spices (190g and 330g jars; Expiry date 31.12.2020) due to possible contamination with fine particles of glass.

Food Safety Recall (Sweden): ICA recalls ICA bredbar leverpastej/liver pie (200g; Best before 2017-06-12) due to potential for bacterial growth.

Food Safety Recall (UK): SPAR recalls SPAR Chicken Tikka Chunks (140g; Use by 19 May 2017) because the product may contain small pieces of glass.

Food Safety Recall (UK): William Santus & Co recalls Uncle Joe’s Liquorice & Aniseed Extra Strong Mints (35g; Expiry 30 June 2018; Lot #TC16015) as the product may contain small pieces of metal.

Food Recall (Denmark): Irma A/S recalls Irma Organic Apple Juice with Raspberries (750 mL; Best by  19.05.2017) due to fermentation risk.

Asia, Africa and the Pacific Islands

Food Safety Recall (Israel): Dal Food Services Ltd. (1997) Ltd. recalls TONY MARKET, NAM SAUSAGE (200g; Expiry date 25.06.17) due to Salmonella contamination.

Australia and New Zealand

Food Safety Recall (New Zealand): European Foods Ltd recalls various Ghiotti brand Mozzarella cheeses (see recall notice for details) due to incorrect date marking.
