  • Allergy Alert: Rhythm Superfoods, LLC recalls Kool Ranch Kale Chips (UPC/SKU code 8 29739 00052 1; Sell by dates of 03/26/12, 03/27/12, 03/28/12, 04/03/12, 04/04/12, 04/10/12), because the product contains undeclared cashews, due to a packaging error. The recalled Kale Chips were distributed through retailers nationwide, including Wegmans supermarket stores.
  • Allergy Alert: Pacific Oyster Company (Bay City, OR) recalls Nate’s Spiced Prawns (16-oz glass jars/6 oz drained weight; UPC 0 27241 40069 7; Sell By dates of 11/17/2011, 12/14/2011, 12/28/2011, 1/7/2012, 1/26/2012, 2/15/2012, 3/9/2012, 4/4/2012, and 4/25/2012), because the product contains undeclared sulfites. The recalled prawns were distributed to retailers in Oregon and Washington, including Fred Meyer supermarket stores.
  • Food Safety Recall: Rite Aid (Camp Hill, PA) recalls Rich Fields Butter Cookies (12-oz tins; UPC 01249596519 and 88411804619), because of possible contamination with Bacillus cereus. The recalled cookies were sold exclusively in Rite Aid stores, which are located in 31 states and the District of Columbia.
